Hi everyone,
Well, Seedlings have done it now... they have grown so much since opening the doors a year ago that they have had to pack up their toys and paints and move to a bigger place. The group now meets in Stow-Bridge village hall from 9.30 to 11.25. on Tuesdays.
The hall is enormous so there is plenty of room for the little ones to rush around on the wheelie toys, or cooking up a treat in the kitchen corner. Of course if they are feeling adventurous there is generally some oats or jelly to dive into. And there is no need to panic.....there are still bowls of fruit, as much coffee as you can drink and of course those wonderful sausage rolls....

Hi Folks,
Thought it was about time I wrote a little something about how Grace Seedlings toddlers group is going. Well..... since I last wrote we have pretty much doubled in numbers, so much so that Ross now has to do a double batch of sausage rolls!! As you may all ready know we like to stay open throughout the summer holidays and during the half term breaks as we feel its nice to have somewhere to go during these times and generally toddler clubs shutdown.... and you know how we like to be different!
Of course with extra children, extra help has been needed and we now have a wonderful team of Grace Seedling helpers which can easily be spotted by their 'Grace Seedlings' polo shirts. (Thanks Nigel! xx)
This half term went rather smoothly with the children making little Christmas cakes in tins. We are nothing if not adventurous!! The Children were covered in cake mix and smiles, so were most of the adults.... but a great time was had by all. We are going to have an icing session a bit closer to Christmas, which, personally I can't wait to see. I wonder how much icing will get on the cakes????
We are also planning to do a star making event for the Toybox charity in the next few weeks. The children will be able to decorate a star which will then be flown out to Brazil to be handed to street children in place of Christmas cards, to let them know that they are loved and thought of by children all over the world. We thought it would be nice if the children made one for themselves too to hang on their own tree as a reminder of their new 'friends' across the globe.
We also have produced our very first Grace Seedlings Newsletter....(our talents our endless!) ok, ok, it was one of Ross's lovely children Nikki who designed it and edited it, but the words were ours! And last but not least, we have our first Christmas party coming up. Wow! There will be party games and festive music, Ross's cakes and lots of goodies! Of course it wouldn't be complete without a present for each child. Ooooh I cant wait! I shall probably look a bit like a Christmas pudding myself by then as I wil be rather heavily pregnant, still at least I can eat the mince pies almost guilt free....one for me, one for the bump!
So thats about it folks, keep praying that God will keep Grace Seedlings growing and strong, and until next time God Bless,
From the Grace Seedlings Team.

Hi everyone, Well firstly this is not written by Ben Davies, as it says above but by his wonderful wife, who for some reason is not being allowed to log in under my name, so as I do with money, when I cant use my own I use Ben's.....usually without his knowledge and this is no exception!
Anyway, back to the matter in hand, our very own Grace Seedlings Baby Club has got off to a fantastic start. The hall is working out really well. We are building up our muscles every Tuesday morning moving tables to create a huge space for our beautiful tots to tear around in. Ross hasn't got round to those cakes yet but has bought some rather posh choccie cookies to make up for it.
The children all seem to love being there, we have had a few new Mums and a new Dad!! Fantastic! The atmosphere is very relaxed, well, I think so, but maybe I am enjoying the coffee too much and letting poor Ross and Susan do all the work......Its possible.....
Well on that note, we would like to thank you all for your support both financial and spiritual. We were well blessed with the money you generously gave to us and we managed to purchase some great toys for the children.
Many thanks again, God Bless you all, Ross, Susan, Katrina and Jo. |

Hello everyone, This is an archive document. Just a quick update of what is happening in the world of Grace Seedlings. On Tuesday, Ross Desiree and myself went along to the Football Club house on the memorial field, (near the old swimming pool) and met a lovely chap who is more than happy to let us use it for our young tots.
The place is lovely; it’s clean, warm, and practical. There is even a door on the kitchen to protect our babe’s precious little fingers from the boiler which will be constantly on the go! Ross will still be making her world famous hot sausage rolls, and I am going to talk her into doing a few cakes and bits for those of us with a sweet tooth. The children of course will have a selection of healthy fruit, we don't want to be responsible for tooth decay in our youngsters! So, if you are passing on a Tuesday morning and the wonderful aroma of coffee greats you, pop in and see us. We will be very pleased to see you. ---------- We are no longer at the Football club as we grew too quickly for the centre. We are now at Stowbridge community Centre, Stowbridge, Downham Market. The same place where our church is held on Sundays. Please come along and join in, you never know you may even enjoy it?
God bless,
Jo |
